advancement. Not so many years ago common place items in our own
cars were developed and first introduced through formula one racing,
currently they are using fully automatic gearboxes with constantly

by computer and updated shift patterns downloadable from the pits….it

on a street circuit such as Monaco in excess of 3600 gear changes
during the race were common place (the equivalent of one per second)…reliability
was the key…..
Gearboxes are a complex and intricate piece of mechanical engineering,
just examining the components that make up even the simplest of
gearboxes it becomes apparent that no matter how much technology
advances, reliability will always be a problem….

Reconditioning:
Complete overhaul of the gearbox including the replacement
of all bearings, gaskets and seals, a comprehensive check
of all components including replacement of any worn or damaged
components These reconditioned gearboxes carry a 12,000
mile or 12 month warranty (whichever the sooner). |

Repair:
After a complete assessment of the gearbox condition in
the vehicle and an interrogation of the customer, the gearbox
is stripped to ascertain the extent of the damage then necessary
components are replaced to produce a cost affective solution
The repaired section of the gearbox carries a 12,000 mile
or 12 month warranty (whichever the sooner). |
